Hello

Isn't this little fella cute?

He's a new resident at Beale Park(see previous posts).....a prairie dog :o)

Proud

The little fella is looking a little intrigued at the camera pointing in his direction or is he proud of being photographed? :o)

Water

I got a bit muddled with the challenges so apologies if you see this for the Pxite challenge :o(

This is a statue in one of the small lakes at Beale Park which is a short drive from where I live. Watch out for some photos of the crazy animals they have there, which will be posted soon. It was lovely to get out after my time being confined to the house and garden :o)

Back to work on Tuesday :o(

'Spike'

My new best friend...I have nicknamed the little fella 'Spike'. He is always sitting outside my front door and miaows at me.

Last night, I sat on the grass and he sat on my lap purring :o)

I have no idea where he lives and he has no collar but I think he must go home at night, I hope so anyway.

Experimental

Trying to stem my boredom, I decided to try and make some ice cubes - what's strange in that I hear you cry!!

Well, these are ice cubes like no other.....they are pink wine ice cubes :o)

Here is my first attempt -

Not quite what I was expecting, more a pile of slush :o( It is actually quite difficult to get them out of the ice cube tray.

My second attempt -

SUCCESS :o)

The finished result -

It was surprisingly refreshing when topped up with lemonade - :o)

Car

I had a little walk today and managed to replenish my ice lolly stash....at least they didn't melt by the time I got home :o)

Also, I tried a little experiment earlier - watch this space.

Plagiarism?

"Art is either plagiarism or revolution."

Paul Gauguin

This was inspired by Cool Daddio - shame it's not in the same league but thought I'd give it a go whilst I am confined to the house & garden ;o)

Hot

Recuperating in the hot & sunny weather, I am so glad I bought this hammock a couple of weeks ago :o)

It's so comfy and I'm sure it's helping my recovery. Just hope I don't fall off and the wine apathy stops soon!!

Pale

My friend has been busy updating her blog and I am really grateful for the get well wishes from her and my other cyber buddies.

The evil Lord Gallbladder and his followers are no more...hurrah, there should be a parade or maybe we should even have a bank holiday to celebrate the overthrowing of the evil one :o)

I really hope to be snapping away again soon, maybe next week even. In the meantime I am trawling through some old ones that haven't been posted yet.

I'm sorry I haven't visited your sites for a while but I am recovering from an operation which I had earlier this week. I plan to try and catch up over the next week or so whilst I am off work.

Anyway, enough wittering - here's one I did earlier ;o)
