I finally got around to spending some time on your site, and I'm very glad that I did. I think I would love Eastbourne, based on what you have shown of it. Now, as to your phtotgraphs... The shots of the old church -- yes! Simultaneously very dynamic and rather eerie. More of that kind of imagery, please! Some of your shots of the beach and that very interesting building at the end of the long pier (what is that, an old music hall?) caught my attention. Those images of the sky over the sea, though, those are marvelous. I am obviously biased when it comes to imagery (aren't we all?), but those photographs are my favorites. I like your most recent shot, too; that of the Japanese bridge over the river, though I wish it had a bit more of a feeling of 3 dimensions to it. Do you know how to adjust your exposure curves during processing to get that? If you are using Photoshop, click on IMAGE, ADJUST, CURVES and with your cursor, place an anchor at 3 points on a diagonal from bottom to top of the graph. Then click and drag the anchor points in such a way as to make the straight diagonal line (the exposure "curve") an "S". The smallest of moves will create BIG changes, but you'll get a feel for it. I hope that is useful and not intrusive. At any rate, keep photographing and sharing your work. I will certainly keep tracking your site.
Thanks for the comments and advice, I am currently using MS Digital Image Pro 9 but will be getting the standard version of photoshop soon. The building at the end of the pier is a nightclub now, Atlantis ;-)but I think it was originally a theatre/music hall. Thanks again!
