Plain English

I know this isn't a photo but felt I had to share this -

'We have made some significant changes to the overall structure at ....We now have "Heads of" and "Manager" in .... with the Heads of managing product verticals to enhance synergy and Managers being introduced to enhance operational redundancy in terms of management. Along with this, we are also introducing a team manager rotation to build greater cross-fertilisation of ideas across teams.'

Any suggestions as to what it means would be gratefully received , the more ridiculous the better ;-)

"operational redundancy in terms of management" sounds like they are paying a load of people to sit around as backup managers in case one of the normal ones breaks down. I love management speak, "cross fertilisation of ideas" why not just say sharing ideas?

I agree, no idea why some people have to try and use ridiculous phrases to convey information but perhaps they think that it makes them look intelligent? In fact, I think it's the reverse ;-) Malcolm's chuffed with the comment -thanks!!

Now why did I not think of that. Could have gotten myself an office with a view, parking space and options as well as a ridiculous new title.
